You'll need either Chief Architect or Home Designer software. I use Chief Architect for all my professional work. If you're just starting out, Home Designer is a less expensive option.

What type of computer do I need?

Any newer Windows or Mac computer should work. For rendering, I recommend Windows computers with NVIDIA RTX graphics cards. See my computer recommendations article.
